Christmas Eve

Okay, so I'm pretty behind (what's new?), but we had a great Christmas and I have a few posts on that topic coming up.  :)

On Christmas Eve, we went over to my parents.  Unfortunately my dad was still in the hospital at the time, so we just did a low key get-together.  We exchanged gifts with my siblings, nieces and nephews, but we waited to exchange with my parents for when my dad got home.  I won't lie and say it was all roses.  It broke my heart to be there without my dad and to see his empty room and empty bed.  Graham went into my dad's room and got a stuffed frog off of his bed and carried it around the entire time.  That said, I really do strive to look on the bright side of all situations and I was so thankful for the houseful of people that were there.  I love my family!!  {I hate to leave such a sad cliff-hanger, so I am happy to report that my dad is out of the hospital and doing much better!}

As I mentioned we had a houseful of people...my sisters and their kids, my mom, my aunts, my cousin and his family (his wife is my bestie).  Macy was as cute as she could be, garnering lots of attention.  She walked up & down the stairs over and over, she twirled in her party dress, but the absolute best was how she responded to my sister's dog.  This might have been the first time she's ever seen a dog and she was SO excited.  She was chasing the dog everywhere, literally running after it, saying, "Meow! Meow! Meow!"  No matter how many times we tried to tell her that a dog says, "Woof!" and a cat says, "Meow!" she would not be dissuaded.  Oh, and she was running around wearing a shirt she was gifted as a cape.  Too funny!

Graham was a such a good boy.  He loved reading books with Aunt Nickey and of course playing Angry Birds.  He is getting so good at that game!

We didn't stay too late as we still had plenty to do at home before Santa's visit.  When we got home, Graham spread the reindeer food he made at school in the driveway.

Then we did our book exchange, said goodbye to Bob the Elf, and hung our stockings.

Then we left cookies out for Santa.  Someone was pretty quick and sneaky and stole a bite!

I love that she's holding her snugglies.

Santa came!

Your photos are amazing. When you wrote that someone stole a bite of cookie, my guess was Joel! LOL!
