Macy is 7 months!

Happy 7 months, Honey Girl!


You are getting to be such a big girl. You changed so much in the past month. You are becoming a lot more mobile. You have realized that you can roll multiple times in a row to get places. You roll, squirm, and wiggle all over the place. We have to be very careful when you are playing on your mat, as you will make your way clear across the room. You used to roll off of your tummy as soon as we put you on it. Now it’s the opposite, if we lay you on your back, you will roll onto your tummy since you now realize it’s more fun to play that way.

You can sit up unsupported, though most of the time I leave the boppy behind you because eventually you will fall over. The longest I ever timed you was for 12 minutes, but I only timed you once.

You like jumping in your Jumperoo. You love when I read to you and Graham at night. He always makes you laugh. If he’s happy, you’re happy, but if he cries, you cry too.

You’re still a pretty good sleeper, though you wake up to eat more often. Maybe it’s because your food demands are going up, yet you are refusing to eat solids. We introduced solids just over 3 weeks ago and we try every day, yet we can barely get the spoon in your mouth. I have tried many different types of food, different times of day, and even tried letting you feed yourself. You’re just not interested. If I can sneak bites into your mouth, you will swallow it, but you won’t open your mouth for it. You purse your lips together and turn away. You are just very content nursing. Mama loves it too, but I know you need to expand your culinary horizons.

Your hair is starting to come in a bit fuller now, though it is very uneven. I want to get it evened out, but I can’t stand the thought of cutting your baby hairs. It seems your eyes are changing color. Your left eye is darker than the right now. They are both a shade of blue-grey. That is the color of Joel’s eyes, but it’s also the color Graham’s eyes turned before turning brown, so we’ll see. You still don’t have any teeth. I can see the bulges at the gum line of your two bottom teeth, but you don’t seem to be drooling or chewing too much, so maybe it will be a bit yet.

You still have all that delicious baby pudge all over...your hands, feet, legs, tummy...gosh it is so cute!

You are still our happy girl. You brighten our days so much with your smiles and giggles. Your personality is really starting to come out and we love every bit of it!

You are a dream baby! I love you forever and ever.
