Graham's 1st Day of School!
Today Graham headed back to school. As you can see, he was excited to go! He woke up bright-eyed and busy-tailed. That was a relief since it took him a while to fall asleep Monday night, so I figured he'd be tired. I'm pretty sure he remembered the routine and was excited to go. He happily dressed and ate his breakfast. Joel said he was pretty excited to get on the bus too.
He has a new driver this year. She seems very nice. He has the same teacher as last year since his class is for pre-schoolers aged 3-5. Since he rides the bus, I didn't get to hear how his day went. Each day, a sheet gets sent home describing what the class did. It sounded like it was a fun day, but I didn't hear specifics on Graham. I am picking him up from school tomorrow, so I will get to talk to his teacher then. He will be continuing his therapies after school for a while, so it will be a busy few months for him!
I am glad Graham is back in school with his friends and learning so much, but I must admit I'm sad that he'll be out of the house so much. A certain mommy cried during dinner Monday night. I bet I'm not the only one, right mamas?? In June, I didn't know how I was going to keep Graham entertained all day AND take care of a new baby, but we managed. Okay, we did more than manage. We had a lot of fun. I sure missed Graham today and I thought about him all day. On the bright side, at least I can start giving my mile-long "To Do List" some attention and most importantly Macy will get some one-on-one time with her mama. Graham and I enjoyed that for several years, and Macy and I will too! We are still blessed with our evenings and weekends together as a family, so we will have to make them count!

I cried too! School started two weeks ago for us and it just makes me sad. You'll never hear from me, "YA school starts, I get peace and quiet!" I love Elly's noise =) I do work full time so it is a bit differnet for our household, I cherish every moment. XO Best of luck for this school year little buddy, I love your backpack!
Go Graham. I love him tackling the first day with that big smile.
Our two regualar schoolers started a couple of weeks ago (K & 5th) and both are enjoying it so far--which is great.
Soo sweet!!! I'm sure he loved it!
My favorite part was reading the note that came home each day from what my nephew was doing.

Aww!! E switched schools the 3rd day of her 1st week back and I was a mess ALL day. She was put in a younger class (taking steps backward) at her school so I talked to the director and she told me they were changing things and I told her I was sorry but that I had to do what was best for E. I finally found a place & she switched mid-week. I was lucky it was the 1st week so she hadn't missed much, I still cried but she has been doing really well at her new school.

Yay for Graham! He looks so handsome.
Wow, how exciting for you...Graham will love learning I bet.
I remember the little yellow bus pulling up outside our letterbox to take Dempsey to pre-school. The years fly by.....enjoy every special moment Candice.
Your pictures are beautiful!

Graham looks too little to be getting on a bus all by himself....:)
As you know that would never happen in Cape Town...but here in Germany the little kids walk to and from school daily as well.
