Sweet Siblings

It has been very precious to watch Graham and Macy’s relationship develop. Obviously the relationship is still in its infancy, mostly one-sided with Graham doting on Macy. At this stage their relationship is best described as sweet.

Graham has loved Macy for some time now. Even when I was pregnant he was always rubbing my belling and saying 'baby.' It seems to me that he understands the transition. He no longer rubs my belly since I have explained to him that the baby is here now. Every once in a while, he shows that he remembers when she was in my tummy. Just the other day we were in Macy’s nursery and Graham was rocking in the glider, then he came up to me and started rubbing my belly and said, “Baby Mamy.” (‘May-mee’ is how he says Macy.)

He has never shown the least bit of jealousy in regards to his little sister. He is understanding when I need to feed or change her. He likes to help. When I change her diaper he will rub her feet, or hand me a baby wipe.

He doesn’t like when she cries; he gets concerned for her. He will come grab my hand and pull me over to her. Sometimes he employs his own methods of soothing- he will bring her a toy, her pacifier, or he’ll rub her feet. Today during tummy time I was rubbing and patting her back, when I stopped for a second he started doing it. He was so gentle, using just the right amount of pressure.

I have a feeling a lot of good times and a lot of love is in store for these two!

Love the way you describe this special relationship.
I see the same with my daughters son and baby girl...NOW SHE LAUGHS AT EVERYTHING HE DOES...she screeches from excitement and he loves making her do this...

That is precious! I love it.

You have such a sweet boy. My friend just had her second child and her oldest is a boy, about grahams age and he says "me not like baby" so they are still adjusting.

He loves her so much because of the amazing examples you two set as parents and how you show love to your kids and each other. You are so blessed! xoxo
