We spent Easter Saturday with Joel's family. GaGa had set up the most perfect egg hunt for Graham. She hid plastic eggs filled with small foam "ABC" puzzle pieces. So, he would find an egg, open it, then put that piece in the puzzle, and then he was off to find another egg, and another puzzle piece. It worked out great as he was so motivated to find eggs, not only because it was fun, but also because he had a puzzle to solve. How creative is that??
Graham was so cute during the egg hunt. He was really into it. Each time he would find an egg, he would exclaim, "Egg, egg!"
Then, he would run to Daddy for help opening the egg, then he would put his piece in. When he completed his puzzle, GaGa had a prize for him, a singing duck. :)
After the egg hunt, Graham opened his Easter gifts. Here he is running around with his towel from Aunt Jan and Uncle Rick. He was using it as a cape. Our little Superhero!
He got a puzzle from Uncle Todd, Aunt Lisa, and cousin Zayla.
Cousin Zayla was celebrating her first Easter! What a little darling!
After all the presents, we had a delicious dinner and played dominoes.
He opened his Easter basket from Connie and Cass (family friends) first. Fritos, skittles, a bathing suit...lots of good stuff!
Then he opened his Easter basket from the Easter bunny! A kite, bubbles, Red Wings hat, lion craft, granola bars, skittles, and real chocolate bars. Lots of allergen friendly treats! Great job Mr. Bunny!
And then onto his gift from Mom and Dad! We got him a little workbench.
He really enjoyed it!
And it's so great for working those fine motor skills!
Then we had another egg hunt, and totally copied GaGa's idea! It was a big hit again!!

On Easter Sunday, we stayed home. Usually we would spend one day with Joel's family and one day with mine. That was our original plan until my family gathering got moved from my Uncle's big house, to my Aunt's tiny house. Last time we went to a family function there it was standing room only. 25 people basically in one small room. We had to stand to eat and Graham basically had to stand at our feet the whole time. It was a bummer not to go, but its just too hard on Graham in a situation like that! Kids need to move.
So anyway, we stayed home and had a great day. You can see Graham was in a good mood per usual!

Looks like a great Easter weekend...And, I have to say I agree about not having a small child in a "standing room only" situation. We would've made a different choice as well :)
Wow, he did have a great loot Easter.
Graham looks so happy with his Easter goodies!
So cute! Loved the update!
