29 Weeks!

As of tomorrow I will be 29 weeks pregnant, crusing right along.

This belly is outta control, as you can see. (BTW, anyone know how to get rid of the shadow outlining my backside in the photo? Adds an inch...no thanks!)

These days I am feeling okay. It definitely feels like the 3rd trimester! When I walk or move around, random bones and joints crick and creak, and I just generally feel like an elephant. Hard to believe I have 2.5 months left! It's going fast though. I have heartburn often. It generally kicks in at night. Since this is obviously going to be my complaint paragraph, my emotions are all over the place. I get anxious about things, I am quick to anger, and quick to cry. Often I over-react to something, then I cry out of guilt for over-reacting. Hormones...I am telling you!!

On a more positive note, the pregnancy is going great. My last appt was at 27 weeks. I passed my glucose screening tests (yay!), got my rhogam shot, and had my regular appt. My blood pressure and weight are "perfect." Sweet Pea's heartbeat was 150 and she was measuring 2 weeks ahead. She is already head down. I have another appt on Monday since appts are every two weeks now. My doctor wants to do an ultrasound to check Sweet Pea's growth. She seems to be monitoring me extra close this pregnancy. I'm not exactly sure why that is- maybe because of the subchorionic hematoma and placenta previa I had early in the pregnancy, though once those problems resolve they don't usually come back. Or perhaps it's because Graham's growth slowed late in my pregnancy with him, though not until 36 weeks. I'm not exactly sure, but I feel very comfortable under her care.

Sweet Pea is very active, though not quite as active as Graham I'd say. Graham felt like he was in constant motion when I was pregnant. I'm not sure if she's moving less, or if I just don't notice it since I'm always running around. When I was pregnant with Graham I was at my work desk a lot. Sweet Pea's active period is in the middle of the night. Most nights I sleep right through it, but if Graham wakes up in the middle of the night and wakes me up I have trouble falling back asleep due to the dance party going on in my belly! Graham's active period was always 7pm and lasted an hour or two. I hope this doesn't mean Sweet Pea wants to burn the midnight oil every night. ;P She gets the hiccups once or twice a day, like Graham did. :)

Not to jinx anything... but, I wrote most of this update yesterday and today I feel like a million bucks! I think she has moved to a more comfortable position for me. I don't feel like an elephant...yay! Okay, while this lasts, I better go get the house cleaned. Have a great day!!

Hi Princess, if it counts for anything, you don't look huge at all to me. You still look really tiny!! And beautiful as always. :)

You look beautiful!!!
The emotional thing must be because you're having a girl. I was incredibly calm with Dylan, but out of control with Lexie! The hormones are getting me this time, too.
It sounds like your doctor is taking great care of you! I'm so glad you're feeling well.

You look great! I'm glad to hear your pregnancy is going well, with the exception of those little annoyances that seem to accompany every pregnancy!

Your last two months will be over before you know it :)

Stand in front of a piece of material, like a sheet as walls always add reflections, I know from taking pics like that as well...LOL

You look amazing...such a pure example on how a woman should look after herself when pregnant.
