As for now, here's a preview. I took these pics a few days before Christmas. When I came into the living room and saw my sweetie in his footed jammies, rocking in front of the Christmas tree, under the stockings, the Christmas season really hit me, "So, this is Christmas..!"

So, now like all our friends, we have a picture of our pumpkin trying to escape good ol' St. Nick. Maybe next year they'll be better friends. :)

Without further adieu...

Look how cute!! The baby's little feet are crossed. This was my 12 wk ultrasound taken Monday.
Okay, all the juicy details:
Due date? My due date is 6/24/11, so I am 12.5 weeks pregnant.
How are we feeling about the pregnancy? We are very, very excited. And yes, it was planned. :)
Have we told Graham? I told Graham there was a baby in my belly, so now he is fixated on rubbing, hugging, and kissing my belly. His new favorite word is, "Baby." He says it day and night, "baby, baby, baby..." It's beyond cute. He says it so perfectly too. A lot of his words are approximations, but "baby" is clear as a bell. That being said, we're not convinced Graham understands the concept since he rubbed Joel's belly the other day and said, "Baby." I think once I start showing it will be easier to explain that mommy has a baby in her belly and daddy doesn't.
Finding out the gender? Yes we will (if the baby cooperates). The ultrasound will be at 18 wks, so near the end of January. I cannot wait. Last pregnancy I felt very strongly that it was a boy. I had nearly nightly dreams about my baby boy. This pregnancy? Not so much. I'm not sure. I am starting to lean slightly towards a girl, but I think that is for two reasons: 1. The heartbeat is high, 180 2 wks ago, 167 yesterday, and 2. I always call the baby a she to tease Joel. Joel's preference leans towards a boy, mine towards a girl, but in all reality, neither of us care- just a healthy baby please!
How am I feeling? The first trimester has been ROUGH! My symptoms started before I even had a positive pregnancy test in my hand! I have all day long nausea, headaches, dizziness, and am vomiting daily. My pregnancy with Graham was similar in that I had a lot of nausea and threw up quite a bit. This pregnancy, I only vomit about once daily (sometimes more, sometimes I skip a day), when I was pregnant with Graham I threw up multiple times a day, sometimes 20x! However, in my pregnancy with Graham I didn't have headaches and pain, I was just sick. I am so fortunate to have a lot of help! Joel is picking up a lot of my household chores and helping with Graham a lot more. Joel's parent's take Graham at least one night a week! I hope I'll be feeling better in a few weeks. I feel like a slacker. It's just hard to function when you feel like you have the flu for months on end!
Showing? I can see that my body is changing. I have picked up a cup size on top and my belly is fuller, however I don't think others, particularly strangers, would notice. I haven't put on any weight yet. I have a doctor's appointment later today and I don't think my doctor is going to be thrilled with that. I started out a bit underweight and I think we all thought I'd pick up weight quickly, but I haven't. I am eating a lot more than I did pre-pregnancy and my activity level is lower, so I don't know what else to do. That being said the baby is measuring perfectly, so I am not too worried. I didn't gain any weight my first trimester with Graham and I more than made up for it my second trimester. :)
Cravings? I survive on Captain Crunch, cheese pizzas, goldfish crackers and clementines. My doc says to eat whatever I can keep down and this has been working for me, so there you go.

Thanksgiving 2010
We had a pretty low key Thanksgiving day. My extended family was having a get together, but it was 20 people in the tiniest house ever, so we opted to stay home. We watched the Thanksgiving parade and put up the Christmas tree.
Joel whipped up Thanksgiving dinner of turkey, roasted red skin potatoes, and green beans. I'm a lucky girl. Graham was able to use the special placemat he made in school in honor of Thanksgiving. He's proud of it as you can see!
On Friday we had dinner at Joel's parents. Todd and Lisa were in town too. So that meant Graham was able to get in some cousin time, which mostly consisted of saying, "Baby" over and over and giving Zayla some pushes in the swing. Too cute!
After a delicious dinner, we played dominoes. Of course Graham wanted in on the action. Fortunately they have several sets. Graham had his own set of off-white dominoes while we played with white ones and he did a great job only playing with his. It was beyond cute!
On Monday, my parents and Aunt Angie came over for our belated Thanksgiving feast, and a feast it was. We had roasted chicken, yams with bacon, scalloped potatoes, green bean casserole, pickled cabbage, rolls, pumkin pie and cherry pie. Needless to say, we had leftovers!!
