Triple Score!!!

The days go by so fast. I was just telling Joel tonight that it seems like every time I blink, we’re getting Graham ready for bed. Another day in the books. Anyway.

We had a really great weekend. On Friday night, we met up with some friends at Hockeytown CafĂ© for dinner and to watch the Wings game. We haven’t seen Bob and Sara since we’ve been home and we always have a great time with them. It was so fun watching the game there. It felt like a big party where everyone was watching the game together. They had a booth where they were giving out bags of Red Wings stuff. I got a “Hockeytown No Limits” sign, car flag, Budd Lynch Bobblehead, a water bottle, shirt, bag, Christmas ornament, red and white pom pom, and an eyeglass case. Score! Who doesn’t need an eyeglass case with a Red Wings emblem, who I ask you?!!!! Moving on…the Wings won. Double Score!! Graham stayed the night at Grandma and Grandpa’s so Joel and I got to sleep through the night. Triple Score!!!

Saturday I picked Graham up from the ‘rents house. I was supposed to go to the gym, but didn’t. I am such an excuse factory when it comes to the gym. I’m too hungry (I could have a snack), it’s rainy (as if the gym's outdoors), I’m too tired (not really), I have a headache (Nope!)…Anyway, I didn’t make it. So Graham and I did the usual: colored, read books, played with blocks, sang Itsy Bitsy Spider 20x. Much more fun than the gym, right? Joel was over at our rental house doing some repairs. After Joel came home we had dinner and relaxed.

Sunday I dragged my butt to the gym. Sadly, like most everything I do, I went more for Graham than myself. Right now I have a trial membership for the child care center at the gym and Graham loves playing with other kiddos, so I figured I should take him. I had a good workout. I did the elliptical for 45 minutes, then ran for 20. Once I get there I do great. I try to remember that when trying to pry myself off the couch. ;P When I got home, Graham took a nap and Joel and I watched the game. The only thing that could have made the weekend better is if the Wings won. Don’t get me started on yesterday’s game. Argh!!

We have a pretty busy week, all of Graham’s appts, plus trying to fit the gym in before my trial expires, plus I have to clean the house (I usually clean the entire house on Sundays and went to the gym instead), and we have a birthday in the house on Thursday. Someone’s getting old…and it’s not the two shorties in the house!

I too make excuses to NOT exercise sometimes...Like right now, as I'm typing this comment, I could be on the treadmill :) Glad to hear I'm not alone on that one....

It is so easy to make excuses. I usually find that once I start exercising, I feel great. I try to remember that feeling when I really don't want to run.
YAY for the hockey freebies!
I hope you have a good week!

I thought I was the only one who used those excuses not to work out!!!! Happy that I'm not alone!

I am absolutely horrible about going to the gym too. In fact, and this is SO sad. I signed up for one year at the gym in May of last year, $50 a month comes out of my bank account automatically. I've gone once! Sadder yet? The one time I went was to take the kids swimming, not work out at all!

I suck,
