Matchmaker

Oops, I did it again. I have only set up two couples, and I’d say it has gone pretty well.

Thanksgiving Day 2000
My cousin Jordan says to me, “So, do you have any single friends you could hook me up with.” I said, “Yeah, one.” I was referring to Maria since Jamie lived out of state at the time. So, Maria, Jamie, Jordan, his friends and I all headed to Windsor, Canada. That’s where all the love connections happen people!! The rest is, as they say, history. Now Miss Maria is family.

August 2008, Mexico
Well, we couldn’t leave my other bestie out, right? So, last August we’re in Mexico for Todd (Joel’s bro) and Lisa’s wedding. After a drunken night out after the wedding, Tim and Joel head over to the other resort to get food for all of us drunks. On the trip they got to talking about how Tim is single, Joel says, “You should meet Candy’s friend, Jamie.” Joel somehow remembers this convo and tells me in the morning. So, I talked to each of them talking the other one up of course, and exchanged their contact info.

AND, wait for it, wait for it…

Tim and Jamie got engaged Sunday!

I am insanely happy for them. So excited!

I have gone and got both my best-friends married off. I certainly have a way of making sure I like my friends' husbands!

You know, after you get back here and settled, well, feel free to keep your eyes peeled for someone I can meet, just sayin... ;)

Good job on playing matchmaker! A good friend of mine fixed up Marc and me. So, we are the result of the matchmaking game as well....
